Clay disintigrated

Clayed my car at the weekend using Sonus clay and Sonus Glyde lube.

All was going well until the clay started getting tacky, then sticking to my hands, until it eventually feel apart.

Whats gan on there then?

Is it a new clay? I think the heat plays a factor in the life of a clay bar.

In winter i put it in a warm cup of water to keep it soft, maybe keeping it in cold water during summer months??

Yup, was brand new and used it the day I got it. Was using it in the shade too so didnt get 'warm' warm.
