Theres not a lot too it IMO, Jay may say different but as he must perfect it.. Buy a clay bar and lube and start the procedure after washing the car. You want to work on a small area at a time, spraying lube on the car and working the clay bar into the body lightly pressing down, in forward and back motion not circular. You will hear and feel the snatching between the clay and the body this shows contamination on the bodywork, continue going over the area untill you dont feel or hear anymore. For more worse areas apply more pressure. Working in a small area is crucial and wiping away the lube with a dry cloth after area complete.
This can be done to a CF parts, body, and windows/ windscreen. Then polish the car and finish with a good wax, applied in the normal ways.
The results are second to none in look and feel. Feels like glass, and the windscreen is a must to get all those unwanted flies and tar etc. Then wait for the rain to come, unreal!

Oh Bryce, I feel a wee competition coming on,
Na, mine will look rough next to yours. Waiting for a new CF splitter to come from the dealers. The replica/aftermarket ones I've been getting just don't cut the cheese!

you would be better off claying, pre wax cleanser and then wax
I would look at using a mild clay bar such as Sonus (http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/detailing-clay/sonus-ultra-fine-detailing-clay-pkg/2/prod_37.html) Green, Meguairs or Zaino (http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/zaino/zaino-z-18-claybar/prod_477.html) otherwise you will just end up marring the paint...use plenty of lube ..
KarbonKid has pretty much explained how to clay:thumbs: but I will add- be sure to frequently knead clay when dirty to expose a fresh clean layer and do lower area's of car last as this will bare most of the contamination/tar etc etc
Before you wax I would also use a paint cleanser such as Dodo Lime Prime Lite (http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wax/dodo-juice/dodo-juice-lime-prime-lite-250ml/prod_455.html) as this will leave a nice finish

Not that you need to do it in this weather but if you are doing when cold i always put the clay in my washing bucket to make it more pilable (sp)
Also if you drop it, bin it! thats why cutting the clay into thirds is always best imho :)
