This was booked in to soley concentrate on the paintwork and add a some protection.

Its a 1939 4.3Litre Short Chassis Vanden Plas Tourer, only 12 of these ever were built with this one being #12. This car has recently been featured in Classic and Sportscar As well as winning the concour for pre-1955 cars at the Antwerp Classic Saloon show last month

This was completely restored to a very high standard in 2007 and the engine on this is a bit special so Alex has said. Its a short stroke engine and made completely from steel, has a high performance cam shaft, 225 BHP and 312lb ft of torque

Vehicle was only covered in light dust so I washed it using CG waterless wash -ONE and then was clayed with Sonus green.

As you can see from reading above the paint on this was extremely thin (modern cars of today have 100-150 microns) so extreme care had to be taken. Correction was carried out using Menzerna 106fa on a finishing pad. This acheived a good level of correction but did leave behind some defects

Thanks Jay. Great job as usual. My customer was extremely pleased. He went off and did 600 miles with her at a TVR event in the Cotswolds last weekend.

That got her a bit messy :bigcry:but my guys are trying to make her look as you left her.
