If anyone is local and fancies a day out this weekend, I can recommend going to see the Time Attack. There are going to be some awesomely quick cars there this wekend - last year the fastest car on was the RCMS Gobstopper Impreza which managed a 1.25.9 - runs over 800bhp from a 2.1 litre 4 pot engine with the NOS switched on :) I only managed a paltry 1.34 :(

I'll be there in the GT3 but not competing this time :(

That's a mental machine, but I think the Gobstopper might be quicker - they are in different classes though as the scooby is still has the original chassis.

It's not the beans... I just hate missing out on a bargain, and if anyone's got a spare pass, then that's what I call a bargain!

It's gonna feel wierd to me, as I've competed since the Time Attack started (3 years) and last year I finished 6th at Oulton - an absoloutely fantastic track. This was my steed :)

Good going, Terry  Did you compete in the very first event when it was called GT Battle? (at Rockingham 2005)

No, I wasn't aware of that until after it had happened - but it was reading about that event that made me want to get into it the following year.

They started off in 2006 only allowing cars with roll cages to partake, but they must have not got decent enough numbers so before the start of the season they opened it up to cars without cages - all I needed was a harness and a fire extinguisher, IIRC. Eeeh - that seems a long time ago now :)
