Hi All

Been using Megs stuff for years and quite happy with the finish but wondered what other people use.

I've got gallons of shampoo and bilberry wheel cleaner but would like to try something else for correction/polish/wax.

Thinking going down the Swissvax route for wax but interested in others views...

Also, what about the steering wheel? Is there some sort of cleaner / conditioner to keep it the way it should be?

Thanks

Mark

I've just spent a small fortune on products as recommended by Jay so that i can keep my car looking good after its detail.

Meguiars Shampoo Plus
Valet Pro PH Neutral Snow Foam
Valet Pro Bilberry Wheel Cleaner
Zaino Z-8 Grand Finale Spray Seal
Zaino Z-16 Perfect Tyre Gloss

Haven't used them myself yet and i can't be arsed waxing, but i already know they do a better job than the Autoglym stuff that i was using!

Regarding the steering wheel, there's a thread somewhere about it. You need some mild detergent in water and a sponge to clean it - a razor blade to trim or a 'Remington fuzz-away'!

Mark, firstly how often do you plan on waxing the car???

if going down the swissvax route, firstly you will need Swissvax Cleaner fluid to prepare and clean the surface before waxing, with the waxes i would go for Best of Show (£120) as all the other waxes below it dont offer much in durability and in looks. BOS will easily give you 4-5 months of protection.

cheaper route would be to purchase Dodo Juice Lime Prime Lite paint cleanser (in place of Swissvax cleaner fluid) which can be used with Swissvax waxes...You could get a tub of Dodo juice Supernatural V2 wax which is also alot cheaper than Best of Show and is certainly a good wax

when i found a bit more time i will post up some sticky guides in this section on proper wash techiques, drying etc etc etc:thumbs:

Cheers Jay

Probably only want to wax a couple of times a year. Don't have time for more...

Dodo might be the way to go initially... Seems like good stuff and a lot cheaper than Swissvax!

Mark

PS - yep, some guides would be good!
