I'm certainly impressed with Jay's work so far - the car already looks pretty good after just the paint correction! :smt023

Unfortunately he was prevented from working in the Fire Station garage for a bit whilst we had all the light bulbs changed! He just has a longer day to catch up tomorrow...;)

Whats involved in paint correction, and what does it do?

Well it's all done and all i can say is: Awesome! Jay really has done a superb job and has put some serious work into getting my car back up to 'scratch' again (no pun intended!). He will post up a few pics soon.

The Carbon Fibre roof and splitters in particular came up really well and look great once more contrasting with the paintwork - reminding me of why the SG car looks so much better than SB...! ;)

Jay gave me some much needed advice on how to clean and preserve the finish that he has left on the car and is a top man indeed. I'm just reluctant to drive it for now whilst it looks so good!

Can't recommend Jay highly enough guys :smt023

Nice results there Rob, car looks brilliant. :thumbs:Jay certainly knows his stuff and makes the SG paint look amazing. After the results on my CSL he'll be back up to mine some day soon to make my 335i look like it should. The orange peel in the paint direct from the factory is shocking!:moan::moan:Jay seems confident he can do something with it though.

He certainly does - top bloke. I have already said that i want him back in 6 months to do a mini-detail on the CSL before i move back to Cornwall, plus he's gonna sort out the Yaris too! :hahaha:

Still dont know what paint correction does / involves though....
Paint correction involves removing defects and imperfections in paintwork such as swirls marks, scratches, oxidation and etching from bird droppings by re-leveling the paintwork.

This is achieved by conducting a highly intensive 2-4 stage machine polishing process, which removes a small percentage of the uppermost layer of paint on the car in order to reveal a fresh layer of unblemished paint below.

This perfect finish will now reflect light perfectly which will greatly enhance the colour of the paintwork
